Early Life and Education
Yogi Adityanath was born on June 5, 1972, as Ajay Mohan Singh Bisht, into a Rajput family in the village of Panchur, Pauri Garhwal, Uttar Pradesh (now Uttarakhand). Anand Singh Bisht, his late father, worked as a forest ranger. He was the second child of four brothers and three sisters in the family. He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the Uttarakhand-based Hemwanti Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University.
In the 1990s, he left his home to join the Ayodhya Ram temple movement. He also became a disciple of the Gorakhnath Math chief, Mahant Vaidyanaath, around that time.[28] At the time, Mahant Vaidyanaath was leading the Ayodhya Ram temple movement. Adityanath established a school in his ancestral village in 1998, despite living in Gorakhpur after his initiation.
After Vaidyanaath's death on September 12, 2014, Adityanath was elevated to the rank of Mahant, or high priest, of the Gorakhnath Math. Two days later, during customary Nath sect rituals, he was elevated to the rank of Peethadhishwar, or Head Seer, of the Math.

Early Political Career
Yogi Adityanath is part of a particular Hindutva political tradition in Uttar Pradesh that can be traced back to Mahant Digvijay Nath, who was in charge of putting idols in the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya on December 22, 1949. Digvijay Nath and Vaidyanaath, who succeeded him, were both members of the Hindu Mahasabha and were elected to Parliament on the platform of that political party. The two branches of Hindu nationalism came together in the 1980s when the BJP and the Sangh Parivar joined the Ayodhya movement. In 1991, Vaidyanaath joined the BJP, but he still had a great deal of autonomy. Four years after Adityanath was assigned Vaidyanaath's replacement, he was chosen for the Lower Place of the Indian Parliament (the Lok Sabha).
After his most memorable discretionary win, Adityanath began his own childhood association Hindu Yuva Vahini, which came to be known for its exercises in the eastern Uttar Pradesh and was instrumental in Adityanath's brilliant ascent. Concerning the distribution of election tickets, Adityanath and the leadership of the BJP have frequently experienced conflict. However, Adityanath has been a prominent campaigner for the BJP, so the tensions have not grown.
He made the connections between Nepali Maoists and Indian Leftist parties a major issue in his campaign in 2006, and he encouraged Madhesi leaders to oppose Maoism in Nepal. In 2008, his guard was allegedly gone after while end course to Azamgarh for an enemy of psychological oppression rally. At least six people were injured, and one person was killed in the attack.
Adityanath and other BJP leaders had gathered in January 2007 to mourn the death of a man who had been killed by religious violence. After that, the police took him and some of his backers into custody and put them in the Gorakhpur jail on charges of disrupting the peace and breaking prohibitory orders. His arrest sparked additional unrest, which culminated in the alleged burning of several coaches of the Mumbai-Gorakhpur Goden Express by Hindu Yuva Vahini protesters. The District Magistrate and the local police chief were moved and replaced the day after the arrest.

Member of Parliament
At 26 years old, Adityanath was the youngest member of the 12th Lok Sabha. He was chosen for the Parliament from Gorakhpur for five successive terms (in 1998, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014 decisions).
Adityanath's participation in Lok Sabha was 77% and he has posed 284 inquiries, partook in 56 discussions and presented three confidential part Bills in the sixteenth Lok Sabha.
Relations with the BJP
For more than a decade, Adityanath has had strained relationships with the BJP. He criticized the BJP for diluting the Hindutva ideology and frequently denigrated and undermined it. He was confident in his ability to dictate terms to the BJP because he had established his own independent power base in Eastern Uttar Pradesh with the support of the Hindu Yuva Vahini and the Gorakhnath Math. He revolted by running candidates against the official BJP candidates when his voice was not heard. The most well-known example is when, in 2002, Radha Mohan das Agarwal, a Hindu Mahasabha candidate from Gorakhpur, narrowly defeated BJP Cabinet minister Shiv Pratap Shukla. In 2007, Adityanath threatened to oppose the BJP with 70 candidates for the state assembly. But in the end, he came to an agreement. Adityanath was said to have campaigned against the BJP candidates who lost in the 2009 elections for Parliament.
Regardless of his occasional rebellions, Yogi Adityanath has been kept in geniality by the RSS and the BJP pioneers. The representative head of the state L. K. Advani, the RSS boss Rajendra Singh and the VHP boss Ashok Singhal have visited him in Gorakhpur. Adityanath co-hosted the BJP National Executive Meet in Lucknow and a three-day Virat Hindu Mahasammelan in Gorakhpur from December 22 to 24, 2006. The Mahasammelan was attended by a number of RSS and VHP leaders, who pledged to pursue Hindutva goals despite the BJP's alleged "abandonment" of them.
Adityanath was one of several BJP MPs who defied the party whip in March 2010 when it came to the Women's Reservation Bill in Parliament.
He supported the BJP's Pratap Puriji Maharaj in the 2018 Rajasthan state assembly election.
Ministry allocation
Adityanath was in charge of approximately 36 ministries when he became the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. These included the home, housing, town and country planning department, revenue, food and civil supplies, food security and drug administration, economics and statistics, mines and minerals, flood control, stamp and registry, prison, general administration, secretariat administration, vigilance, personnel and appointment, information, institutional finance, planning, estate department, urban land, UP state reorganization committee, administration reforms, programming implementation,
In his most memorable bureau meeting, hung on 4 April 2017, the choice was taken to excuse advances to almost 87 lakh (8,700,000) little and peripheral ranchers of Uttar Pradesh, adding up to ₹363.59 billion (US$4.6 billion). For India's Freedom Day festivities in 2017, his administration singled out Muslim strict schools, expecting them to give video proof that their understudies had sung the Indian public song of praise.
Low and Order
Around 20,000 "politically motivated" cases, including those against him and other politicians, were ordered to be dropped by his government in 2017.
The formation of quasi-vigilant anti-"Romeo" squads was directed by Adityanath. He halted the UPPSC civil service exam results, exams, and interviews until further orders were issued, as well as a blanket prohibition on cow smuggling. Tobacco, Paan, and gutka were outlawed in state government offices, and officials were required to commit to working 100 hours per year for the Swachh Bharat Mission. Adityanath ordered the formation of quasi-vigilante anti-"Romeo" squads and suspended UPPSC civil service exam results, exams, and interviews until further order. The Uttar Pradesh police suspended more than 100 "black sheep" officers.[60] Tobacco, Paan, and gutka were outlawed in state government offices, and officials were required to commit to working 100 hours per year for the Swachh Bharat Mission. Adityanath, the chief minister, had ordered many slaughterhouses to close since 2017. The tanneries that sourced raw leather from the slaughterhouses were impacted directly as a result. Additionally, it was mandated that several tanneries close down. In 2017, it was estimated that the tannery industry was worth 50,000 crore. More than 10 lakh people were employed by the industry, either directly or indirectly. CM Adityanath had closed around 200 of the more than 400 tanneries in Jajamau, Kanpur, through executive orders since 2018.

Infrastructure Development
In July 2018, Adityanath, along with South Korean President Moon Jae-in and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, opened the largest smartphone manufacturing facility in the world in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. In a record-breaking four months, his government was credited with producing 50 megawatts of power and a 22-kilometer electricity line for the Samsung mobile plant.
The Defense Industrial Corridor project's foundation stone was laid in Jhansi in November 2019 by the Ministry of Defense and the Uttar Pradesh government. Yogi Adityanath met with private companies to get more private money to invest in the defense corridor project.
Analysts said that Adityanath could run for prime minister of India in 2024 if he "delivers on some fronts" [which? ], according to the New York Times. Adityanath was found to be India's best-performing chief minister in a survey conducted by India Today in August 2020 titled "Mood of the nation."
Ordinance and Bills
Adityanath asked his government to come up with a plan to stop "religious conversions in the name of love" in September 2020. If necessary, he even considered passing an ordinance to do so. Adityanath made the announcement on October 31 that his government would pass a 2020 Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Ordinance to stop "Love Jihad."

Additionally, a number of benefits based on the single-child and two-child policies were announced. He said that the state's population policy focused on making it easier to get contraceptives from the Family Planning Programme and making sure safe abortions are available. Additionally, numerous responses and criticisms from other political parties were directed at this policy. It was stated that the primary focus of this policy was on the state's upcoming general elections. The resistance Congress in the state has considered it a "political plan" and the Samajwadi Party said it is "murder of a vote-based system".
Second Term (2022- Present)
The results of the legislative assembly were announced on March 10, 2022. The BJP-led NDA alliance won 273 seats, and Yogi was given a second term as chief minister. As the first chief minister to serve a full five years and return to power, Yogi and his party made history. The BJP is also the first party to win consecutive elections after 37 years in power. After Mayawati of the BSP and Akhilesh Yadav of the Samajwadi Party, he was only the third chief minister in Uttar Pradesh's political history to serve a full five years as the state's chief minister.
Yogi earned the moniker "bulldozer baba" for his successful use of a campaign featuring a bulldozer as its central image in the lead-up to the assembly elections. An opposition party had initially made fun of the term. During the polls, his speeches promoted religious polarization, Hindu supremacy, and hate speech against Muslims. In addition, he frequently referred to Muslims as terrorists and criminals and the opposition parties as appeasers of Muslims in his speeches, which included the idea that Hindu rights conflict with those of Muslims.
Controversies
In 2010, while restricting the Ladies' Booking Bill, Adityanath said that reservation doesn't influence ladies' homegrown obligations like childcare. He added that women become demons if they develop masculine traits, whereas men develop feminine traits and become gods.
